Every formula starts with one standard: real biological results, no harmful chemistry.
Every good company has a story. Ours starts with two guys who probably shouldn’t have worked as well together as they do.
Derek is the lab dork. The guy who looks at a chemical formula, industry standard, or “the way it’s always been done” and immediately starts trying to break it, improve it, or rebuild it better. He’s abrasive in the best way possible — relentlessly curious, highly technical, and never satisfied with average results.
Ward is the relationship guy. He knows the industries, knows the people, and knows how things actually work outside the lab. After years in bio-ag, and related industries, he understood one important thing: great solutions only matter if they solve real problems for real people.
Somewhere between Derek challenging chemistry and Ward challenging practicality, the partnership clicked.
Together, they built a company focused on creating more effective solutions for the industries they know best. No corporate fluff. No overcomplicated promises. Just experience, innovation, hard work, and a willingness to challenge outdated standards when better answers exist.
At the end of the day, we’re just two industry guys — one testing limits in the lab, the other building trusted relationships in the field — working toward the same goal: helping customers get better results with solutions that actually make sense.
Two 50/50 partners with a shared belief — biological products should perform as well as the chemistry they’re replacing.
Derek Lamons began his journey in the bio-agriculture industry in 2016, bringing with him a strong background rooted in the western forestry industry and hands-on field experience. From the beginning, Derek approached agriculture differently — challenging conventional thinking and pushing beyond outdated chemical-dependent practices.
While advancing through the ranks of a leading biostimulant manufacturer, he became known for pursuing breakthroughs that many in the industry were unwilling to explore. His work focused on exposing inefficiencies in common livestock and CAFO management practices while developing more effective biological solutions that delivered measurable results in real-world operations.
Driven by a passion for innovation and backed by years of field testing, Derek has dedicated his career to optimizing microbial performance far beyond the standards of traditional microbial manufacturers. Alongside his longtime friend and business partner, Ward Wright, he helped build TrueFix Biologics with a mission to redefine what biological agriculture can achieve — combining practical experience, regenerative principles, and science-driven innovation to create products that truly perform where it matters most: in the field
Ward Wright is an agricultural entrepreneur and biological solutions specialist with extensive experience in sustainable agriculture, soil health systems, livestock operations, and applied microbial technologies. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing practical, field-driven solutions designed to improve operational efficiency, environmental stewardship, and long-term agricultural productivity.
Working directly alongside growers, producers, and agricultural operations, Ward developed a strong understanding of the challenges facing modern agriculture and the growing need for more sustainable, biologically driven solutions. His work has centered on advancing systems that support healthier soil function, improved nutrient utilization, enhanced microbial activity, and stronger overall operational performance.
Over the years, Ward has become recognized for his ability to combine real-world agricultural experience with innovative biological applications. His approach emphasizes practical implementation, measurable results, and long-term value for both conventional and regenerative production systems.
As the founder of True Fix Biologics, Ward continues to lead the development of microbial-based technologies designed to support agriculture, livestock operations, waste management systems, and environmental sustainability through science-driven, field-tested biological solutions.
